The Council Affairs Committee convened presided by honorable Lt. General Adam Hamid Musa, the Council Speaker for enlightenment about the council activities during the recess.

-         Dr. Ambily Abdallah the Peace, Reconciliation & National Unity Committee chairperson, presented a concised report about the symposium conducted last month in the Council about the benefits of unity and the secession threats which targeted seven localities of southerners living in Khartoum State.

-         Honorable Jabir Abd Algadir the Decentralized Governance Committee chairperson presented a concised enlightenment about the seminar of the decentralized policies development which was conducted by the Decentralized Governance Committee in collaboration with the federalisms centre. He called for confronting and processing of the challenges that face the federal decentralized governance course and inaction of more states and federal legislations to make the course of the federal rule successful and evaluation of the federal rule experiment to enhance its role in supporting the Sudan unity.

-         In the same context hon. Hisham Albirier, Deputy Chairperson of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee presented a report about the visit of the Council of States delegation to River Nile State to be in touch with the floods impacts on Shendi town and its neighborhood which suffered damages in houses and the break down of (Altahadi) road that links Khartoum and Atbara.

-         Hon. Speaker of the Council called the president of the delegation to extend the services as quickly as possible.

-         Hon. Sharif Mohamedein, Chairperson of the Political and External Contacts Committee proposed a visit to Chad and its parliament to strengthen the ties between the two council' and consider the issues of interest with the Sudanese community there, then visiting the displaced camps and discuss their repatriation hmoe.
